Description:
A striking, naturalistically modelled bear baiting jug. The spout is formed of the bear's main body holding a dog, whilst the bear's head cleverly doubles as a cup . A very powerful piece of pottery.
Circa 1800
Approx - 9 inches (230mm) tall.
In very good condition throughout.
